Took a jaunt up to the two highest points in San Francisco yesterday.

Panorama from Twin Peaks

Panorama from Mount Davidson

Partial view of the road I get to descend on from Twin Peaks.

I should have taken a photo of dirt road you have to take to get up to the cross on Mount Davison, after all the rain we've been getting it was a daunting (very slippery and wet) ride up and down from that section.

This is at the very end of the climb facing Mt Davidson cross.

This gives you a good idea of the height of the cross relative to the bike I was riding.

Mountain lion!

Got out to my favorite San Gabriel Mtns ride again, Glendora Mountain Rd > Glendora Ridge Rd > Baldy Village. 5700ft elevation gain, only 44 miles roundtrip. Bacon burger at Baldy Lodge halfway through.

This time GRR was closed to motor vehicle traffic due to rock and landslides from all the rain we've been having. Last time on this ride, we were greeted by two bobcats. I was hoping to see more wildlife but did not expect to see my first mountain lion (sorry no pics, but I have witnesses)! As I came around the corner, I thought I saw a really large bobcat, but then realized it had a really long tail. It had jumped off the side of the road as we approached. I got off the bike and peeked over, and there was the little guy staring back at me in terror about 2 meters away before turning and running away. It was definitely a juvenile. Love this ride. Not bad for Los Angeles.

Snow-capped Mt. Baldy in the distance:

The biggest landslide we came across. Good time to ride up there as there will be no cars/motorcycles until this is cleared (cyclists can walk around it across the retaining wall):
