I love winter riding '15-'16

Hello winter our old friend...this is the third winter
From downtown Sioux City for me and Trubaby!
Rather than drive anywhere just getting out for ten miles
Right from the convention center is a real hoot...

Is the bar on the seat tube for the dog's leash? Any action pics. if so?
I'd have to climb 2,000 feet to find snow today...I'm staying in the warm sunny valley.

Not from today...I left my phone at home
And just posed the bike after getting back
...plenty of winter left to up the ante
On the winter riding thread.

...and yes, the walky dog/leash combo
Keeps us out of trouble on the city streets...
And off road as well for that matter

Here's a shot from last week up at the lake
Riding the pugsley...

Winter is my favorite time of year to explore quiet trails with the dog.

Hot dang! Our winter riding looks a tad different. Either way, it's the best season of the year.

Nice. I went out for about 2 hours in the (now melted) snow last week, but don't like to stop for pics, lest I cool down and get chilled. And getting snow in your (road) cleats sucks. I stop when I get home. so no proof.
Was out for 2 hours yesterday. But it was 39 degrees and dry roads. Hope to do 2 hours Wednesday - supposed to be 45 deg and dry. Not really winter riding.

It ended up being 40 degrees and damp, with a breeze and cloudy. Amazing how much colder it feels when the sun isn't out. Still no snow on the ground. Hope to do another 2 hrs today.

Can't say enough about cat ears winter fleece ear covers. They have solved a problem for me with thick hats that keep me war and cover my ears, yet get wet from sweat. The cat ears allow me to wear a thinner hat and avoid a wet hat covering my head and ears for the last 1/2 of the ride.

This is my second winter-ish season in SF (where I'm not sure there are actually "seasons")... here's this weekend's ride:

Best part of winter riding is the hot shower afterwards

I hate to do this, but I think we have to exclude you from our "Winter Riding" club. Sunshine and sailboats in the background? That's not winter!

We seem to be having a much more traditional Fall season than we've had for a few years.. Can't say I'm super stoked about it.

The English language doesn't hold adequate verbage to express my hatred for rain. But the wife won't move to San Diego.... Cursed man, i am.

I havent been riding in this ····, but only because ive been working insane hours.. 12+ a day, with a 2 hour round trip commute.. Just isnt leaving anything for the bike
