I haven't been on a RAGBRAI for some time, but Mr Porkchop was a must do several times each week. That's sad news, what an icon.

This is sad for sure. I got talked into doing RAGBRAI in 2021 and thought it was the most fun I have had on a bike in decades. So I did the next two years and am signed up for this year as well.
Curious what happens to this popular stop. It is indeed always a big stop with lots of activity and the smoke can sometimes be seen a few miles away. |

Well that’s no good. We’re planning on doing it this summer as a family trip (first time since 2016). Mr Pork Chop was always a highlight.
