Campy chainring bolt help
Getting ready to change chainrings on this superrecord crank and the bolt on the crank arm is this?
What do you use to remove this bolt? Thanks in advance.

T25 if I remember correctly

Pretty sure it’s T30, but you need to break out the ‘security tab’ inside. Really easily done with a small screwdriver or the like.
Edit: sorry, mixed up on T25/T30 as the current ones are T30. Glad it looks like you are getting it sorted. Last edited by aaronf; 04-23-2024 at 07:55 PM. |

I just reamed a slot into a t25 and it worked.
I suck at this. Now the new chainrings have ever so slightly smaller diameter bolt sleeves. Can I just buy smaller bolts?

It’s just the crank arm bolt that is larger on the old set. Slightly smaller hole on the new set does not allow the sleeve to insert to thread on the crank arm.

Ok figured it out. Just ordered a new bolt set and it worked fine with the new rings. The original set was two piece bolt with the flat but on the back side, new bolts only one bolt that threaded into the small ring. Old set neither rings were threaded.
No more shark teeth!

Where'd ya get the bolt set from? A friend needs a set for a Campy 12 crank but also need the chainring spacers

Campagnolo 11spd (4 arm) and 12spd cranks use standard chainring bolts (8mm x 0.7mm thread, 12mm head), so any chainring bolts of the correct length will work. If use chainring spacers, just increase the bolt length according to the spacer thickness.
