1991 LeMond Merlin Ti - Greg's own bike
I acquired this a while ago and now I'm thinking its time to let it go... this was LeMond's personal bike, the first Merlin Extralight, built for Greg in '91.

My rarest bike isn't so much rare as underappreciated: Giordana TSX I picked up here.
Its been beaten on so isn't worth much. Had it built up with D/A 6sp stuff for a bit. M |

Current for me is this Search and State edition Mosaic GT-1. This was Justin from Black Oak Velos personal frameset and is 1 of 2 that were done for NAHBS 2020. The other is a desert camo scheme for the guys at Search and State. Crazy paint job and I am unsure which fork is on it, but it has some different touches and details than the others I have had on high end builds.
I am still awaiting some different wheels and need to cut/internally route the rear brake line and find some different bar tape. Going to do all that this coming week! Sent from my Pixel 6a using Tapatalk |

As for my rare bike, it's my Fabrica Strada SL. 1 of 6 we got at Cyclesport for the GS Park Ridge team to race on, and 1 of 8 I believe that they made in total. It was a custom Columbus Life super light tube set with some really nice stainless details for the FD clamp, brake clamp, and CNCed dropouts they made. It's a steel bike that built up at 15.5 lbs in it's current race ready form, with nothing exotic other than the EE brakes |

Merlin Cyclocross
What's the rarest or most obscure bike in your collection?
Not sure if it's really that rare or obscure but the reason I kept it even though it's not my size is because it's a very versatile bike to loan out to out-of-town friends when they are visiting especially folks who are on the taller side, for folks who ride a smaller size bike (anything 54cm or smaller), I got them covered with my other bikes.

That's a beautiful machine.
When we went to NAHBS in 2015 I got the chance to talk to Mark DiNucci and he was just a really down-to-earth nice guy. You'd never know that he was one of most accomplished framebuilders in North America. |
