Cycling in Seoul

When I travel overseas, I typically like to cycle and visit local shops. At the end of October, I have a trip to Seoul. Does anyone know of a good roa bike shop that rents road bikes? I will be staying near COEX in Gangnam-gu.

I lived in Seoul for two years but never came across a shop renting road bikes. You can rent bikes on the Han river for very cheap but the bikes are made for tooling along the path versus putting any distance in.

I rented my bikes out on Spinlister while I lived there and was happy with my transactions as the renter.

The Han river bike trails were enjoyable, especially outside of the city. From Gangnam, I would go south east towards the mountains. It's beautiful country.

You are lucky! I love riding in Seoul. The Han River bike path is the largest continuous bike path in the world! It's got little restaurants and quickie marts on the path, you could ride all day and never leave the path.

They have cheap bike rentals on the path for the casual sightseeing.

There are a lot of places that rent- these two are solid recommendations that speak english. Typically in the $50/day zone for a road bike

Gangnam is a good area for visiting. So fun in Seoul.

I ended up buying a bike and leaving it there, since I rode so much while there. Probably not an option for you...

Also, remember that deliveries to your place are super cheap. They deliver everything there.
I bought a bike and they delivered it within an hour of getting home, for like $10. They deliver McD's there!

I didn't get a chance to rent/ride. I did visit a few shops. Watts Cycling is a very high end, boutique shop that carried Storck, Passoni, Scott and Cervelo. They have an organized ride on Thursday nights. Peter and Martin Vellits were in town for the ride.
I also saw Kosmik bike shop in Sinsadong, near Apujong. Good stuff but kind of a whole in the wall.
