Another kind of Seven decal rant, as a semi-new Seven owner.

Frame decals - fine.

Other components - not so good.

I got the Seven stem, ti seatpost, and fork and the bike is visually over-Seven'd. And, the decals on the stem and post just get trashed, anyway. I wish I had thought of the decals when we spec'd the bike, as I would have requested no decals. My bad. I'll remove them eventually.

Enjoy your ride,
Murph (currently in Victor ID)

The component decals are even worse than the frame decals. That ti seatpost is sofaking ugly too. It's like the elegant designs were used up by Moots and Erikson and Firefly.

My Moots RSL was over-stickered too. I removed the decals from the seat tube, seat post, top tube and stem.

The fork decals are under clear coat so I can't do anything there.

Decal rant update

Well, I ordered some new decals for my enve wheels to give them a fresh look. They were only about $4.00 each. So nice to see something not overpriced in this sport.

They arrived yesterday. One decal for the front wheel, and one decal for the rear wheel. I guess I thought I ordered a decal SET for each wheel.

So they are cheap at $4.00 per, until you factor that you need three stickers per side per wheel, for a total of six stickers per wheel. If my math is right that is 12 stickers total for about $50 to upgrade or change the look of your wheels.

Not outrageaous, but dammit I wish I had known that.

Rant over for now.

The decals on my 25 year old Spectrum Ti are perfect. TK clear coats his frames, and that makes all the difference.

And it's also advertising, but of a different sort, when the decals turn to utter crap in six months. You'd think they'd understand that.
