Bontrager R4 Aero 220 TPI Clinchers

Anyone have any experience with these tires? Just got a pair essentially for half price (a courtesy, not 'cuz they weren't selling). Some reviews showing decent ride quality and traction. Just mounted them to a set of 60MM wheels, anxious to take them for a rip. Longevity? Puncture resistance? Just curious.

Nice tires- very light, supple, easy to mount, good grip. But, they are thin and wear out fast. I wore through the casing in 500 miles or so - the downside of being very light.

They are really an event or race day tire.

I got about three weeks out of mine. But the R3 has been a good workhorse for me and some last many months.

Love the r4 for racing. I have had some seriously bad luck with cuts in Bontrager tires (r2, R3) in general though. So much that I wouldn't pay retail to get them anymore.
