how to remove trainer tire stain from carpet?

Hi all
I had my bike in the trainer in the basement then had to move it. I usually carry the bike but this time I rolled it and the rear tire left a gray streak on the carpet. I vacuumed it and it is still there. I am going to borrow a carpet washer next. Any other suggestions? The rear tire has this fine grey dust from the drum. This trainer is not rollers but the regular fluid trainer that stands up by itself.
Wife is pissed. Please help.

Spot Shot gets almost everything out for me. You can find it in hardware stores & some grocery.

I'd go with an area rug and denial but that's probably not helpful.

Washing powder, the kind you use to wash your clothes in.

Just put a scoop in some hot water, and the scrub the carpet with it.

It's also good for cleaning bar tape and white saddles.
