now this is a "gravel bike", a PSA of sorts....
what's old is new again.
i'm a big fan of older miyatas. this one will probably go cheap. just LOOK at that tire clearance, with good old, tried and true rim brakes. bomb proof downtube shifters. ride this one across the country tomorrow. just fix those bars. these old miyatas rock. http://www.ebay.com/itm/miyata-Bicyc...gAAOSwFuxZvs9w

Yeah, but all that clearance added 6 oz. to the bike so we had to eliminate it to enhance climbing.

Back in the day, these were not bad, but we've come a long way to go back!

I'd first add a second water bottle cage location, but other than that, go for it.

Miyata
I did my first D2R2 on a 198? Miyata 210. Here's a tire fitting shot - 700x40 Schwalbe Land Cruisers.

Maybe the angle, but that's not enough tire clearance. If a bit of gravel gets in the tread... |
