$200 per watt

$600 to save--wait for it--3 whole watts!

Apparently the white stuff is:

"Feel the need for even more speed? CeramicSpeed recently bought the rights to Friction Facts' super-slippery UltraFast chain lubrication formula, claiming up to 5 watts of energy savings over a factory chain. That white residue is Teflon, but that's only part of the recipe"

The other part of the recipe, given the price, must be something else.

This setup offers a greater savings that 3 watts - with no cable routed to the derailleur, as in the photo - I'm guessing it saves dozens of watts.

Maybe it's a wireless cable?

A fool and his money are soon parted. Some will pay the $, some pros will get them for free. Ceramic is one of the biggest scams ever foisted onto the cycling public. Used to be $1 per gram, now it's $zillions for a watt or two.

Dude. It's not a watt or two. It's three (3) watts. We are talking a third more of wattage savings than what you posted.

Ceramics are magic. Harry Potter's wand was made of ceramics.

Now, hold on a second here . . .

First of all, please understand I agree wholeheartedly with your sentiments. But I've been reading this forum for years, and seen people not bat an eye at $400 bib shorts, $600 handlebars, $1000 cranks, $6000 wheels, and on and on and on. Likes2ridefar points out that Ceramicspeed products "spin like crazy", so they do work as claimed. So what makes you single out this particular product for ridicule? Why all the hate?
