Unless, as I said, I've missed something.
Guess I did too

I've ordered the separate kit+cranks, and emailed asking that they introduce one to the other then post me the complete unit, we'll see what the response is.

Translation: you got us Mr. Smarty Pants (though I will say, CC always does their customer service right).

Update on this- they have changed their minds, and will only ship me the cranks and the upgrade box, I will have to put one in the other and then post to Pioneer, they won't do that themselves.

Which is a bit annoying, I'll have to ask a co-worker to do that for me (I'm not in the U.S. Until Mid October).

Shame.

You can get the 6800 cranks for much cheaper than $210.

Issue is one of convenience really- looks like I will now have to get a colleague to take the cranks out of the box, put in the other box, and put the box in the post as the store won't do it. I need the cranks to be ready for when I get to Colorado mid October.

Neil,
If you want to avoid some hassle you can get the complete unit from JensonUSA for 1550 & use a 15% coupon to take it to around 1300ish and Jenson has them in stock. PM me about the code if you want to go this way.

I'm really losing patience with CC, my last 2 purchases have been horrible because their descriptions were wrong and they didn't do much to fix. I bought some wheels that they said were 15x142 but they were actually 135qr and not convertible and they wouldn't cover return shipping even thought it was their mistake. Took weeks to sort that one out. The deal would have to be great for me to shop there now.

Hi Idris, that's a very kind offer- thanks.

I've decided to stick with CC for a couple of reasons- primary being that these are 46/36/175 cranks and Jenson does not have those.

However I also don't want to have the refund/re-purchase cycle affect things.

I'll have one last go at convincing CC to send the cranks+upgrade box to Pioneer, then when that fails sweet talk a U.S. Based colleague into helping me out.

A UK distributor finally started importing the Pioneer upgrade kit - a week or so after I ordered in the US.

However, I'm not that upset as the UK price is $1,700 for the "put your crank in the box and post it to Pioneer" kit that is $999 in the US.
