Just go to arizmendi. It's a cheeseboard sister company. There's one on lakeshore and one on San Pablo in emeryville. 15 min bike to each.

I am packed...

and ready to go for my trip to Oakland next week (Sep 29-Oct 2).

I am bringing my Taylor bike minus the front wheel. Decided to leave that behind to open up a bit more space in the softcase. Elefantino pal is kind enough to loan me the wheel AND pick me up from the airport on Tuesday morning. From there, we will go to my hotel at Marriott Downtown, dump all my stuff, put the bike together and then head out for lunch and do some riding. I am so looking forward to it!

The conference won't start till Wednesday and pretty much run from 9 till 4 pm. After 4, I am free to do whatever I want...love to meet up or go ride.

If any of our pals here wish to join us, just shoot us a PM.

Food-wise

When it comes to food, seriously, I am a simple kinda guy - give me some greasy tacos or fried chicken and I am set.

But my friend at work reminded me that I am at a location where there's substantial population of ethnic Chinese living there so maybe I should check out Chinatown or have some Chinese food. So...maybe I will!

That would be nice, however I work in SF and get back later than I would like.

Doing anything on Weekdays is very hard for me.

Les and I have had some excellent Chinese food at Golden Carousel which is near Van Ness/California as I recall. It may be on Pine St. We were the only people in the place who did not look Chinese. Huge menu-tiny prices--how can one lose?

Awesome tip, ken pal! That's usually the hallmark of authentic Chinese food...not some over priced cabbage sausage at some P & F & Changgggggg....

Paceline Oakland Meetup

I will be in Oakland from Tuesday Sept 29 noon till Friday Oct 2, 2pm.
I would love to get together with my pals at the paceline forum for a ride / lunch / coffee.
Please indicate your preference and we will see how we can make it work.
Thanks!
Wei San
