Bike Cult Show - NYC Hand-Built Bike Show - 8/16, 8/17
Bike Cult Show 2nd Annual Hand-Built Bicycle Show in NYC Knockdown Center, 52-19 Flushing Avenue, Maspeth, Queens, NY 11378 Saturday, August 16, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM Sunday, August 17, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM Entry:General admission, $10 per day, Children under 14 free. Website: www.bikecultshow.com The 2nd annual Bike Cult Show presents an exposition of beautiful bicycles, held at the Knockdown Center, a former glass-factory, now a post-industrial music and arts compound in Maspeth, Queens. Our mission is to showcase the industry of small-scale hand- and machine-made bicycle products to promote the pedal-powered tools of sport, transport & recreation that transcend ordinary throw-away consumer products and to revitalize people and places with one of the world's best inventions Exhibitors include some of the finest artisans of custom hand-crafted cycling machines from NYC and elsewhere. The show provides visitors an experience in which they can meet and greet the makers of beautiful bicycles, and to see and feel their functional works of art. While last year's "Best in Show" trophy winner, Brian Chapman will return, there will be no judging this year. No "Best in Show," or "Best this or that..." Every builder shows their personal best. Everyone is allowed their own opinion. The Knockdown Center’s 50,000 sq feet will be the sole venue for the show weekend and will also host bicycle related non-profits, bands, food trucks, parties and ancillary events to be announced later. Please check www.bikecultshow.com for more info. Last edited by harryschwartzma; 04-18-2014 at 10:29 AM. |

Looking forward to it! I'm glad it wasn't scheduled this year on Labor Day weekend, when I'm almost always out of town.

Yeah, that was what we could get last year.
This year we have a bit more clout, as we pulled it off without a hitch. Hope to see you all there! |

The Chapman bike was a true masterpiece, but the bike I would love to order from last year's show is a Jamie Swan. Will definitely try to make it again this year.
