Garbage due to peals falling apart? If so, did you read what I posted? I'm not saying they're great pedals. It's totally reasonable not to have to check the tightness of a basic component every few months, IMO, because I can't think of any other high-end pedal that needs this lest it fall apart. But again, I suspect that if you regularly tighten those end caps down, they're not garbage. You can also service the pedals quite easily if you get your hands on an 8mm hex socket driver (or 5/16" appears to fit closely enough), take the bodies out, and regrease the innards. I'm planning on doing that yearly. Also FYI, this is an old post, as I noted in what I wrote. |

Slop when engaged mostly. And yeah, could tighten that down all day, but once the metal times got a bit of a wear, no amount of tightening would take that out.
I'd rather spend the extra couple dollars and get Times or Shimano or any other mountain pedal where I haven't had this issue. |

nope. I know of at least four people who've had this happen as well. made me sell my eggs and go to ATACs. I will say, though, that they don't seem to shed mud as well as eggs. allegedly both are better at mud shedding than Shimano; but so how the heck do all the euro pros run Shimano then?
