STOLEN BIKE ALERT; San Francisco; Merckx & Colnago

I wanted to alert the forum community here of two bikes that were stolen from my home in San Francisco during the middle of the night last night.

One, a Colnago C40 seen here in this thread:
http://forums.thepaceline.net/showth...31#post1373131

The other, a 2004 Merckx MX Leader, that I purchased here about 5 months ago and just finished building up with full DA 7700 group including NOS DA hubs laced to NOS Ambrosio Nemesis rims, Vittoria tubulars, etc. etc. Seen here:
http://forums.thepaceline.net/showthread.php?t=136272

I am obviously working with the local police to hopefully track the bikes down.

If anyone on here see's these pop up on ebay or their local craigslist, please PM or email me ASAP.

Help me nab these thieves and get these classics back in my possession!

David, had they already stripped all the components from the Colnago?

Sounds like they caught the perps, so that's good.

spoke to someone at the station; will be able to get them tomorrow. So glad they caught the perp - sounds like he was a convicted felon; not happy to know he was snooping around my garage in the middle of the night.

Thank you soooo much for posting a link to that twitter feed! I had no idea it existed.

If there's any way you can get them out of the garage and keep them inside the house, do it. My first nice bike was stolen out of my garage on Cumberland St (near Dolores Park) in 1980 and was never recovered. I've kept all my bikes in my "office" room ever since.
