The Black Friday things has been outside of the US for a number of years because the US is not the only country transfixed on increasing sales during the largest shopping season of the year... It has taken on a life of its own that has nothing to do with Thanksgiving. It is another retailer created 'need/event'.
Same with 'Cyber Monday'. I was with a company that build online 'things' when the concept of Cyber Monday was started make some rumbles. I got an inside view of the spin machine attempting turn a regular Monday into a retail spike. Cyber Monday has not really turned into what the originators (a group of larger retailers) were hoping it would, but there is still a spike in the online shopping world.

4700 Tiagra groupset at Ribble is only ~$265 USD (Price may vary based on country). That's insane. It's cheaper than the 4600 Tiagra groupset and only $10 more than the 3500 Sora groupset.

If I lived in a better market, I would buy some fulcrum wheels, deda rs01 bits, and tiagra 4700 for the scattante frame I've got for sale. Talk about a solid budget bike. It would be sub $700 and all new.
