Rebuilt Mavic Heliums-questions

I have been slowly sourcing an all alloy Campy Chorus 10 speed group. I purchased a set of Mavic Helium wheels for the upcoming build. The wheels I sourced were for Shimano cassettes.

I need to convert the carrier to a Campy 10 carrier. I thought it would be easy until I read this thread.

Apparantly I can purchase a Mavic ED11 FTS-L Freehub body which will accept 9/10/11 campy cassettes. Will this freehub body work with wheels as old as the Heliums. It looks like there was a Mavic FTS hub (no L). Is that different than the FTS-L body?

No it won't. The FTS body is completely different than the FTS-L. Just use a shimano 11s cogset, that'll work fine with Campag 11s, and we won't tell a soul.

I am building a 10 speed group, not 11 speed. Can you tell me what i would need to do to have these Heliums accept a 10 speed Campagnolo cassette?

Have a Wheels Mfg. 11-27 Shimano > Campy 10 spd conversion cassette that should work. PM me if you're interested.

They will not. The compatible FTS FH body was Campag 8s only. Wheels manufacturing accelerator cogset..modified shimano 10s cogset to Campag 10s spacing.
