Its not competition for Rapha unless the quality, performance, durability, and customer service are the same.

Rapha's not all skinny dudes climbing with no helmet. Its as more function as it is form.

This should be a sticky at the top of the general discussion.

Would like to see the quality of the bibs. 179 seems reasonable (I can't believe I'm saying that) if the quality is near the level of Rapha.

Rapha seems to have raised the bar with its $385 bibs and $320 short-sleeve jersey.

So these must be the best jersey and shorts that money can buy (except maybe Assos)?

Review of the jersey on the Rapha website:

The cut and tailoring needs improvement, i found this product to be loose at the back when standing, not fitted as pictured unfortunately. Not a 'Pro Team' cut.

Review of the shorts:

Sadly I wore them yesterday in very light drizzle and was wet through within 3 miles which given the claims about being rain resistant was hugely disappointing considering the price!

Review on RKP:

For those looking for U.S.-made clothing, this won't quite scratch that itch, but it's close, closer than most. Kitsbow is based in Petaluma, California, and the clothing I reviewed was produced in the Great White North -- Vancouver, B.C. Buy this stuff and your dollars won't be headed to China.

a prominent frame builder I converse with on Facebook posted an interview with Simon recently and a few #haterz were posting about how arrogant and full of themselves etc etc Rapha is. I kept asking for examples how, where, why, etc. Nobody had anything.

Not a peep.

Really? It's not entirely out of the realm of possibility.
