what good non-Enve fork options are out there?
talking standard 1 1/8" straight, or a 1 1/8" - 1 1/4" tapered. Surely Enve isn't the only game in town.
Something carbon, high quality, and preferably matte without logos. the Reynolds Ouzo seem to have lots of happy buyers. |

Seven makes a nice fork and you could have them do a matte finish. My Seven fork has a glossy clear but they had no problem keeping logos off.

Wow, I'm really out of the loop: Much to my surprise, Easton no longer seems to offer a road fork...but Wound Up still does! I gotta get out more.

Edit: 3T offers road forks and Mike Lopez (via Holland Cycles) does too. Also looks like Lynskey jumped into this market. Last edited by Keith A; 02-09-2016 at 01:04 PM. |

Whisky has a bunch of different options. I've owned a No 9 disc and it was really nice.

Apple pal, no, it isn't... as much as they and others would like us to believe. Same with Rapha.

I just realized how many aftermarket fork manufactures are no longer in this market: Time, Look, Reynolds, Easton and Bontrager come to mind.

Good point, I had one on my Merckx Team SC. Totally solid fork.

I have two forks on two frames: ENVE and 3T (not the lightest one they offer, the second lightest one I think). I also have an older Reynolds Ouzo something but that got put back on a different frame.
I'm happy with both the ENVE and the 3T. My favorite fork, but I think it had to do with the whole frame/fork system, was a tapered Cannondale Slice fork, 1-1/8" to 1-1/2"?. SystemSix frameset, 2008. Absolutely the most stable/predictable front end when dealing with corners. If I could I'd replicate that front end for my ultimate frameset. I have no idea who makes that fork for them, assuming they farmed it out in 2007-2008. My current forks are 1-1/8" non-tapered and the frame isn't as stiff as the Cannondale so in turns the bike does want to move around a touch. Similar to the TCRs I have (one has that Reynolds Ouzo fork I mentioned earlier). |
