I have a CDA that I had Bilenky install couplers in, but the most interesting Serotta I ever saw was in the basement of Harris cycles here outside of Boston. IMG_0974.jpg

I have had so many over the past decade, but only ones currently in my phone are the Kirk I just passed on to somebody else and my Duetti.

I don't remember silver/blue as standard on the Atlanta, what year was that?

My Atlanta is Big Boy Blue which is fine, but I wish it was the red/yellow fade which I consider to be the iconic Serotta paint scheme. On second thought I would insert "one of" into that sentence, as the fluorescent orange/pink is in the same category. 1991 nhx:

Love the paint on this bike, a subtle metallic that just pops in the sun:
I've never purchased a bike that compares to the deal you got on that CDA. I'd say $500 is about half the market value, probably less. Let me know if you want to part with the C10 stuff.

How do you like the Duetti? Currently being closed out, so I've been tempted. Really only holding back because it's disc and electronic shifting which I have been able to avoid up to this point.

I've had this Serotta Ottrott since 2010 and still love riding it. I've also had a CSI and still have a bike Dave Kirk built for me.

It's very possible I have the model wrong. It was late 80s/early 90s

I like it a lot! Think it's a great riding bike and the AXS stuff works really well as do the disc brakes. It does a great job on pavement and hardpack. It has fender mounts if you want to go that route and has a very well balanced ride. Pretty versatile frameset IMHO! At the current price it's a steal!

Atlanta was introduced in 1996. The colors that year were Big Boy Blue, Red to Yellow Fade, and Spruce. There seem to be more in Blue than Red/Yellow. I don't recall seeing one in Spruce.

Perhaps the bike you are thinking of had custom paint. I don't have all of the old catalogs but didn't find blue/silver in any of the ones I have.

I wonder when that was made. A 1980s catalog is the last mention of tandems in the printed material I have seen - the large diameter down tube was present even that far back. Looks like it may have a different fork crown than the one shown in the catalog. It has side track seat stays, which I don't think they used after the mid to late 1980s.

Is that an original from around the time you started? I know you had some Colorado tubes recently but don't know if you built anything with them. What's the story on the bike? I'd still like to land a team bike with that paint to go with the three that have the later colors, also a Sierra Nevada bike.

What other teams do you remember supplying? I think there was a women's team that rode the onyx/magenta paint scheme but I can't remember the name of the team.

While I certainly agree that PL has moved on from the Serotta forum of years gone by, I like Dan’s ideas. Would be great to have a dedicated section to the brand, especially its history and members’ Serotta eye candy of past and present.

I absolutely loved my Ottrott, but I had to keep N constant when I got a gravel bike so I gave it to my brother. So, still "in the family" -- literally.
