Winter riding pants options
I have plenty of knickers, bib shorts/knee/leg warmer and full on bib tights for riding the shoulder/fall/winter, but wanted to find something a little less euro-racer than the bib tights that could also work on the trails etc. Just don't want something flapping in the wind either.
I really like the look of the Twin Six Winter Bib Pants but they don't appear to be restocking them: https://www.twinsix.com/collections/...nt=32535081414 Anyone have something similar they really like or have been looking into? Thanks. |

I like my Craft PXC Storm pants: http://www.craftsportswear.com/craft...1999-38c13e89/
Just about any looser cut XC-ski pants will do. I wear my Craft PXCs for just about everything in true winter conditions-- commuting, fat biking, running, and of course, XC-skiing. |

Been discussed in the past but can't beat Sporthill XC pants. Wind and waterproof, zip ankles and pockets. Sometimes pricy but multi use and last forever (10+ year old pair still in use)

Check out the Sugoi Latte Pant. (If they still make it.)

Shoot T6 an email on the winter pants, I think they went over pretty well last year so I'd be shocked if they don't restock at some point.
Saying that - They are warm, like really warm. Great for rides where it never gets close to freezing but overkill if your ride temps top 30. Have a buddy who swears by the sporthill pants and like other posters he has years on the ones he has. |

I really like the Rapha (yes, I know- the dreaded 'R' word) Loopback trouser -- concept seems to be very similar to Twin Six's Winter Bib Pants. Hardwearing and warm even down to below-freezing temperatures.

Thanks for the reminder on Sporthill. Remember them from running days when they first came in the scene. The XC pants look pretty nice
I had reached out to Twin Six before posting and they said they will have more of the Winter Bibs in stock late October. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Take a look at the Novara Headwind pants. They sound like what you're looking for. It looks like REI is clearing them out, so the price is very good now.

Sporthill XC pants!!!!
Live with them on, bike, hike, ski and hanging around house. they are incredible except for collecting dog fur when washed a lot. 3SP is the material, you can get in loose or tighter fitting |

Foxwear heavy weight power stretch tights. Easy to out on. Very warm. Stretchy. Very durable. They were $44 when I bought 2 pairs about 10 years ago.

+1 on the Sporthill rec, but they do seem to shrink a bit. I've got a pair that turned into highwaters, which is no good for winter warmth. I'd recommend getting them longer than you think you need.
