Save The Gorge Jersey

I imagine many of you non-Oregonians have been to the Gorge, or would support this even if you haven't.

BUY THE JERSEY - RESTORE THE GORGE
$20 of every sale will go to Columbia Gorge restoration efforts.
The Columbia River Gorge is a beloved place for so many reasons, most of which revolve around enjoying the boundless beauty of the natural environment, often on our bikes.

Portland Jerseys, in partnership with ORbike, is helping rebuild the Columbia Gorge after extensive damage caused by the Eagle Creek wildfire.
For every one of their Columbia River Gorge jerseys sold, they will donate $20 to Friends of the Columbia River Gorge for restoration efforts. On top of that, Portland Jerseys always plants a tree for every jersey sold.

BUY THE JERSEY TODAY!
Wear your Gorge-ous jersey with pride and know you are one of the people restoring the Columbia River Gorge.

Thanks for posting this. We've donated to the Friends for 20 years. I was lucky enough to take some out of town friends there just after the eclipse. What a beautiful place it was. The scenery will come back given time and I'm happy to buy a cool new jersey.

The Gorge holds meaning for me beyond its natural wonder. My father worked to form the Columbia River Gorge Commission, and I scattered his ashes throughout the Gorge.

Watching it burn over the past several weeks has been hard, but (after needing a couple of days to get over anger around the stupidity that started the fire) I know that, in the long run, it is but a blip.

I share your pain, I have spent countless hours exploring the gorge, found my first domestic wild orchid there. It was terrible to find out it was burning, and for such a dumb reason.

But know this: Fire truly creates the phoenix in nature. Next year flowers that have not bloomed in decades will poke their heads out. Mushrooms will begin the healing process, and in a decade, the area will be more lush than before. this is how nature does it. she recycles.
