Super upset that my brother is graduating from Pitt that exact weekend and so there is absolutely no way I can actually ride the event.

My family and I are staying very close to the finish, so maybe while they're all sleeping Saturday night I'll bring a case of beer and a lawn chair to just hang out at the finish. Although of course will have no idea how spread out everyone is and approximate finishing times.... 9pm on Saturday would be 40 hours?

yeah, the finish is definitely anti-climactic from what I've heard. Not quite as bad as TABR, but it takes hours between all the finishers

I suggest that this is a much better idea: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/6762091

I think the CTC route blows the big one.

This should be submitted to RUSA as a perm around late May or so. Two day scouting ride occurring in a couple weeks.

Anyone doing CTC in 2017?

Last Friday of April is the 28th. PGH to PHL. About one month to go!

I don't have plans to do it.

How about you? Did you ride last year?

I'm riding it in 2017. My first year eastbound. I've done it westbound twice.

2016 had very advantageous winds - hoping for good winds and a decent time this year.

Cool. Statistics say winds will be favorable again this year. Y'all got lucky last year.

Any plans on schedule. Trying to make it to Chambersburg the first day? Or are doing something silly like riding through?
