TIME VXRS Ulteam

Here's a frame that needs no further introduction..
Had this with me since Nov 2006, with lots of memories..

The VXRS Ulteam was never the stiffest nor the lightest, but the amount of "tech" TIME actually puts into while designing VXRS frameset was pretty impressive back in 2006, particularly the asymmetrical chainstays, CMT, ISP etc.

As shown below, the weight for the complete "module" as TIME calls it is pretty decent considering the age.
1460grams with fork, TIME QUICKSET headset system with bearings, seatpost/seatpost clamp, RD hanger
(minus TIME stem)

Frameset/fork is currently in Europe for a repaint as well as minor modifications on the ISP.

Below are how it looks like before the repaint.

VXRS Ulteam 2006 - Before

Frame/fork is painted pearl white, with WC stripes (to commemorate Bettini's WC winning VXRS), with subtle TIME branding.
More pics next months upon receiving the frame/fork/seatpost.

Cheers!

Always one of my all-time favorite production carbon frames. Way ahead of its time.

Ultra likes this paint job a lot. How much did you pay and who made it?

Haven't receive the frameset, but from the pics it looks like the layer of paint is going to add significant weight to the overall frameset/fork.
Initial goal was to have a complete build up sub 5.5kg, complete with pedals.
Looks like it's going to be farfetched.

man, fantastic man.

I would have probably not have done the world stripes on the fork and stays but this is fantastic man. Can't wait to see the build (which will be ridiculous know what kind of gear you run). Congrats man
