Tacx Galaxia bearing replaceable?
Few of the bearings on my Galaxia rollers seem a bit gritty.
The stamp on it seems to read "5200Z C3". Anyone know if these are replaceable? They don't look easily removed. Here's a fuzzy photo. |

5200 bearings are a standard 10mm x 30mm x 14.3mm industrial bearing (the Z means dust shields, and the C3 is for standard radial clearances). Your bearings are very likely replaceable - if you have the right tools to knock out the old bearings and press in the new ones.

You could also punch out the press fit dust shields with an awl and then clean them out, but that is a one-way move(the shields will be destroyed and you won't be able to use them to keep out dirt anymore).

I read the stamping wrong. It's actually 6200Z C3.
Local bearing shops are quoting around $10 each. I've seen other Galaxia rollers using bearings with rubber side shields. Hoping I can find cheaper replacements. Any bearing aficionados have recommendations for a different spec? |
