Ritchey Outback - Release Date?

Anyone talk to a dealer about ordering one? I am cross shopping this and the Cosmic stallion and multitudes of others.

And the Carbon Breakaway seems to available now.

I wish they made a Steel Outback Breakaway...

On the Radavist... but I don't see it on their site yet. The carbon breakaway is on their site. Odd. Seems like they'd release both at same time.

Makes me wanna give it a spin though.. The new Ascent also looks versatile. Haven't ridden a Ritchey.

My carbon Outback Breakaway arrived yesterday!! I got the last XL. They told me they've seen a much bigger response than they anticipated and they're nearly sold out of the carbon Breakaways. Really, I'm extremely excited about this bike-haven't been this giddy about a bike in more than 15yrs. This'll be my first foray into disc brakes. I'm debating between the Spyre SLCs and the Yokozuno Motokos. Crankset is on order too-an FSA compact plus, 46-30. This'll be wifli eTap'd.

I was told we're still a few weeks away on the steel version, which looks extremely nice too! [EDIT]

Apparently, they're available now.

Do you have an idea of how the FD will work with the compact FD (able to get it down far enough and shape of cage) and how the FD battery may limit tire size on this particular frame?

I really want to be able to buy the Outback fork as it would be a perfect carbon option for my custom.

Not yet, I don't. I'm going to get everything together, and hope it works out. I also asked about the option of buying the fork alone, and it's not available for purchase yet. Also, keep in mind that the axle to crown is shorter than a usual cross fork, so you should incorporate this into a potential frame design. Steel frame has post mount, Breakaway is flat mount, both 12mm TA.

I justified this by replacing at least three bikes with this one. (Moots PsychloX, Ritchey BA Road, Gunnar Crosshairs)

They haven't added it to their menus yet but you can find it by searching:

My frame is already built and this is precisely why I am interested in this specific fork. My frame has a 73d HTA and my current for has 390 A-C with 66mm offset.

Thanks for posting the video with the Grinduro. They made a nice presentation of the bikes.

Now that the Outback is out, any builds? Thoughts? Hopes for a steel breakaway version?

Wish it came in a canti version and would fit up to 45mm tires instead of 40mm.

So very tempted..

I'd pull the trigger if they had run the rear derailleur cable on the down tube or internally for a tidier look.

And, perhaps a fork with more rake, say 58mm.

Ritchey apparently doesn't believe in 'low trail', nor has he heard of Pneumatic trail of big fat 650b tires and probably laugh at BQ's writings like most of the bike industry.
To me the best feature of the frame is the non-steroided head tube with the inset 1 1/8 HS.
