I got my Gunnar Crosshair in. Ended up going with rim brakes.

I am looking for a custom randonneur frame potentially. Any suggestions for a builder for those at under $1500? Ideally I'd spend less than $1300 but that's tough for a frame that's got a bit more braze-ons

Igor,

If it fits, I'd look at a Rivendell Sam Hillborne at $1,300. It has copious space for big tires and fenders, and oodles of braze-ons to hang racks. It doesn't have lighting accruements, however. It is a smart machine.

Heya - I've had the Hillborne twice before, and the sizing wasn't quite right and I want 650B (I have a really nice wheelset for it as well) - the 55cm is a bit long and is 700c, and I'm a bit picky about the 51cm's sloping top tube..

The new batch is black and creme and my fav color scheme and is canti

I got a Sam this fall as a placeholder before an Atlantis arrived. I was pleasantly impressed by the Sam in all aspects. I understand that fit requirements are paramount.

And of course.. gunnar and waterford again, but guessing you want a different flavor

And mentioning Jeff Lyon again

I would grab a 44 Huntsman. It’s a couple $100 more but it’s worth it.

Wants: Rim brake.
Ebisu a bit over budget but their filet frame is not that significantly so.
Jeff Lyon is not taking any orders for at least a year.

Love this, who in the states could do a frame like it at a reasonable price and without a long wait ?

Ha. You've only entered the honeymoon phase and you're ready for a second custom in less than three months?
