http://velonews.competitor.com/2014/...roundup_353443

Will it be better or worse than SRAM?

Well I doubt that it would be much worse.

No pro level sponsorship? So the enduser will be the beta testers? Call me when version 2 or 3 comes out.

If their electronic bits are to the same high standards as the rest of the stuff they make, you couldn't pay me to ride it.

I think their stuff is pretty uniformly awful.

Considering electronic spam has essentially disappeared... They are back to the drawing board after the 'both shifters together to shift fder' was shown to be dopey. AND RH lever for lower, LH for higher was 'strange'. Race to the bottom indeed. Maybe FSA ought to make a decent crank/BB first.

MicroShift will be the one to come in at the bottom price point and take over the OEM market.

This group will give Shimano and Campy electronic some stiff competition.

Not knowing the price-point, I'm guessing they will gather users by pairing up with bike shops/dealers to sell this as the default groupset on some new frames.

That's the only way I can think of someone riding a bike with a FSA crankset, let alone the entire groupset.

Does FSA even have a mechanical groupset? I don't think I've ever seen any FSA component other than the crankset. Weird man!

FSA do have a TT groupset but not road. I don't think I've ever seen it used in a build.

I must confess that I purchased an FSA crankset, on purpose - but only so I could use a 4iiii power meter, and didn't want a Shimano crank mixed with everything else Campy ... I'm probably fairly susceptible to this sort of oddball groupset though, being the guy who sought out Ofmega parts for my '73 Bottecchia.

It might actually be good

Here's their drop dead gorgeous aero rear derailleur. Appears to be long cage too, so you could use it on your mountain bike if having an aero rear derailleur were important to you, like if you did high speed mountain bike time trials and the like.
