Who Makes This Bike?

What I want:

Internal rear hub, 29 or 27.5 wheels, probably discs, flat bar, semi sloping, probably metal, belt drive added plus.

Essentially a Surly Karate Monkey but with proper cable routing and perhaps fender mounts.

Trying to build up something similar to a Speedvagen Urban Racer without spending $4800 on the bike. I'd even buy a custom frame from a small builder.

Schindelhauer?

Wont fit as large tires.. but ticks alot of other boxes on your list. Its not as nice as the urban racer but they are solid bikes imo.

Funny that you're in Oakland, because Cycle Monkey is just up the road in Richmond. They make *exactly* what you just described, Gates belt and all.

We make similar urban bikes, but electric.

What about the Spot Rocker? Or one of their townie-type bikes?

This bike is pretty amazing, if it fits you. It was suggested to me, but I am being too cheap. That said, its a great deal!

Twin Six Standard Rando could be the ticket. PF30 + eccentric BB for chain tensioning.

Other end of the price spectrum - belt drive, 3 speed internal, $400-900.
Bought my wife the Classic as an urban, around town bike, it's terrific for the money. Excellent quality!

I would add the Soma Wolverine. A co-worker got one set up as you describe for her all-weather commuter bike and absolutely loves it. It's also really sharp looking.

I'd say the Rodeo Labs Flaanimal hits almost everything on your list. It does have a carbon fork, but it could be built in any way you want.

Di2? Sure. Sliding Dropouts? Yes (comes with QR rear dropouts). Belt drive ready? YUPPERS. Clearance for 650s or fat 700c tires? totally. Semi-sloping top tube? appears as much. Build it with a flat bar/drop bar/whatever you want.

Edit: If I didn't already own a TwinSix Standard Rando Titanium, I'd have bought Flaanimal. I think the versatility is pretty spectacular there.

Check out the BMC Alpenchallenge models. They have the exact bike you're describing along with the racy bar drop of the Speedvagen.

That Rodeo labs would be perfect since I have wheels that fit. The BMC Alpenchallenge is a close second in the Nexus 11 config.

Thanks everyone!
