Cycling Canada didn't even support the athletes representing Canada at worlds in Australia. The athletes self funded and then were charged a program fee by the governing body.

Don't get me started on the OCA, they have single-handedly destroyed what was once a vibrant road racing calender here in Ontario.
No arguments regarding support but Canada does usually have the better national team jersey.

Ashlin's parents Michael and Dede helped me with my C40 restoration some years ago at Mariposa. I later serendipitously met Michael and Ashlin at a coffee shop in a small town riding that same C40. Michael complimented me on the bike and I spoke with Ashlin for a bit. This was just before his racing program got much heavier and the kid was reserved, humble, and down to earth. I told him I was grateful for his dad helping me with my bike and it made him smile.

I wish Ashlin the best and hope he enjoys the ride. I'm certainly enjoying following his exploits
