54 tooth DT star ratchets in deep carbon wheels. So annoying. Buddy runs them. I'm all about the silence, 18t ratchets in mine regularly greased... bliss.

Yup - I tried the 54T ratchets and while the engagement was very nice, the noise was offensive and headache inducing. I have stuck with 36T as a nice compromise.

I9 or CK R45 and run them dry AND put a couple of Ace of Spades cards in the spoke for that added effect.

You need to step up your game and get yourself one of these:

https://www.amazon.com/Turbospoke-TB.../dp/B002WJ2Q5E

I bought one for my son and I was very.... I repeat, very tempted to put it on my Zanconato.

I'm going to add the Mavic All Roads to the mix. Just had these out for the first time and they are LOUD! Ouch, can I put a muffler on these?

Ah, yes. Fall is in the air. Seventeen pages (so far) about the noisiest rear road hub. Where did that thread about outdoor winter trainers disappear to?

^This for road and gravel bikes.

I only like noisy hubs on mountain bikes so my free hub does the talking when it is time to pass. Great when approaching riders with or without good trail etiquette.

Surprised by reports of noisy DT 240/350 hubs. I have been running at least 4 sets regularly over the past 10 years and all are very quiet only starting to make some noise when they need a re-grease after extensive use.
