Ken, I 'm very sorry to read about your accident. I second Christians thoughts,I've rode motorcycles for over 40 years and never had an accident but s*** happens, sometimes beyond our control.
Get well soon but take it slowly, the body is an amazing thing. I've had my share of broken bones, cuts and bruises and became stronger because of it.

Pay attention to the doctors and heal up fast. Get up and moving as soon as they'll let you. Been there, done that.
