Saddle similar to a Toupe?

I'd prefer not to give Specialized Attorneys at Law any additional money, but the Toupe 143 seems to fit me well.

Any suggestions for something similar from another maker?

I was riding exclusively on the Toupe 143 and thought I found "the" saddle for me. That was until I started riding on an Antares Versus and like it a smidge better.

Curious if you have tried the anteres VS X, Nick. I think I like the cut out from Specialized, but am not sure if the channel in the regular vs. is enough.

I'll have to try it.

I have run Toupe 130's for the last few years and recently switched quite comfortably to the PRO Turnix AF 132. I'd give those a try if I were you.

It isn't similar but I went from 143 Toupe to an SMP Dynamic. I was skeptical but the SMP has replaced the Toupe as my favorite saddle.

I rode across the USA inn 2007 on a Toupe. I've since switched to the Antares and find I'm a bit more comfortable due on it. I tried an Antares VS but it chewed up my nether regions during the first (45 mile) ride I did on it. YMMV, and probably will.

Just buy them used like I do. It will assuage your guilt a bit.

I liked the Toupe 143 a lot but I find the Prologo Nagos (ideally the TR version) even better.

For what it's worth. I too considered myself a Toupe guy and rode the saddle for three years and even got the MTB version (Phenom) for off road.

HOWEVER.......when i purchased my CAAD 10 couple years back it came with a Prologo Saddle and I thought I'd give it a shot for a week or so.....I have now switched all road bikes and even have Prologo on the MTB and could not be happier. It was instantly my new favorite.

That is the one which could get me off if the Toupe. They are very popular in my fields.
