Sorry the crash was as bad as it was, glad it wasn't worse. Heal quick and get back on the bike as soon as you can - but don't try to ride too soon.

Ouch. That's no good. Good that you made out of it pretty well. Last time I went down at 35, I said goodbye to my collarbone for a few months. Heal up and now you'll have time to focus on building up the gravel grinder .

ouch! Glad that it wasn't worse. It sucks, but there is a bright side...you can take time off the bicycle to watch the Vuelta.

I remember the Rite aid runs for gauze, bandages, spray in skin and the like.

Oh and the showers

As you know watch for infections. I had stitches in my hand last time and had to do antibiotics when my had got a red and swollen.

Had more than a few folks reach out for an update.

Sunday and Monday were miserable. Tuesday, things started getting much better.

Road rash....Healing well.

Shoulder. Grade 1-2 AC Joint sprain....getting better.

Ribs....they still suck, but have figured out how to sleep, and physic taping them up so I can function day to day.

Hopefully get the bike put back together in the next 10 days.

As I've said a few times.....REALLY, REALLY.....Blessed/Fortunate. A guy I was riding with said he couldn't believe I popped up after watching it from behind.

I've got my 9/11 memorial stair climb deal tomorrow.

http://forums.thepaceline.net/showpo...99&postcount=1

That should be fun ....Actually, I am really looking forward to it.

Thanks for the well wishes.

Geoff

I have the same, 6 weeks next Tue. Standing on the pedals and pulling water bottles is still a pain, but I probably have over 25yr on you.

The stair climb should keep his lungs clear, for a couple of days at least.

Geoff, good luck tomorrow!
