Debike - brave of you to throw yourself out there. I would say there are: 1. Ugly bikes, and 2. Ugly set ups.

Certainly this is going to fall somewhere under #2 - an unorthodox or unattractive set up. I see lots of those from Paceline users everyday and I assume that they know what is best for them. Injuries, how they ride, where they ride, etc. is going to be the driver here.

I think that the introduction of that bike marked the moment that Doriano DeRosa decided to strike out on his own and leave the family business behind…..

I think it's uglier overall because the fork doesn't match the aesthetic of the rest of the bike.

"Ugly" Tourmalet attached.

I just saw the above post by 5oakterrace. Subtract the first three sentences, and I could just quote that.
Not so much ugly, however dangerous, why not purchase a frame properly constructed for you, built with a higher head tube? So many bikes are built this way currently, you should be able to find something stock/non-custom the fits you at a reasonable cost.

I’d certainly ride one. Owning one is another matter entirely.

Hey, that's been on my watchlist for several months now. Keep thinking of making an offer.

Kill it with fire. I agree with whoever said that the not-so-ugly fork makes the whole even uglier.

Tango and Cash

Buy the Tango ditch the fork and put in a Pina Onda fork ,it would be bike mash up that would make up for Michelangelo and da Vinci never doing a community peace mural together [them Medicis had some heavy vibes]

That be an easy fix with exterior vinyl wrap that will last longer than our interest in the bike.

I won't ride anything that does not have a round seatpost, and preferably not huge diameter. Shim baby, shim.
