me too..
as soon as I saw those bikes posted I thought it was likely dnovo's bikes and I got curious too, whatever became of some of those long time members with tons of nice bikes that sort of fell off the grid.i do recall there were some unkind remarks about his bike fit but he some severe back issue if I recall.

Your recollection is correct.

Yes, lugged Columbus or Dedacciai steel frame + carbon wishbone seatstay + carbon fork.
The "16.5" decal on this frame would indicate Deda EOM 16.5 tubing, but the chainstays look very Columbus "Foco" (maybe Deda's 16.5 chainstays had a similar profile, I don't know).

In any case, Carrera built some top frames. http://www.carrera-podium.it/en/halloffame

Pantani's first ever Giro stage win was on a Carrera

handsomerob here had a beautiful white PS: handsomerob's Carrera Progetto Shield.

I kinda understand dnovo selling his collection, including a Della Santa that I sold him, he's a successful attorney (very busy) plus not a young guy anymore.

I remember he caught a lot of flak from folks for some unusual looking bike(s) that he had made because of his bad back. That really hurt him. I had a fair amount of correspondence with him plus selling him a bike. Seemed like a very nice guy.
