How to measure drop bars

I'm looking to replace the steel bars on my 78 Schwinn "10 speed"with some aluminum bars.
I need wider bars, but I'm not even sure where to measure. Trying to order on the net is just confusing me.
I do know, 25.4 clamp diameter, and 22mm tube diameter. The rest confuses me.
Can anybody help?

Besides old and obsolete, what would these be called?

Shallow tradition bend. Though I don't know a current 25.4 road bar with that much flare, Nitto Noodles might be close.

Both the Nitto Randonneur and the Soma Brevet Randonneur come in 25.4 clamp diameters but I'm not sure about the 22 bar diam spec you need (presumably for brake lever mounting).

If neither of those are suitable, you might see what other offerings they (Nitto, Soma) have which could substitute. Good luck.

Thanks for the input, guys.
Looks like the Randonneur is pretty close to what I have, and they fit me pretty good, maybe a tad narrow.
The only thing that may be a problem is the lever clamp diameter. From what I can tell, the Randonneur has a 24mm tube. I'll have to check my levers when I get home to see if they'll fit.
