Striking . . .

... my Calfee fades from blue to purple, depending on the light, but I've always loved the red. Nice job.

Yeah. I started using them a few years ago. Really like the shape and hand positions.

Agreed. Despite the fact that the design of the Ottrott is over 10 years old, it still holds its own in terms of ride quality, and Eric's is one if the finest examples visually.

It's a shame the the links to the photos in the older threads about this bike are broken (or the uploaded files were purged). Those threads are like a stroll through memory lane in terms of the characters who used to frequent here, including our dear PETE, who loved RED.

Ottrot You Got Is Hot

As I've said before, nice bike. And I like your logo on that rear wheel a thousand times better than ENVE's logo.

Thanks guys!

The wheelset was a perfect addition to the bike. I'll probably put my logos on the front wheel at some point. Man they give the bike some attitude! My new favorite set for this bike.

Front is Enve SES 4 to Chris King R45. Rear is Enve 65 to an early prototype Pacenti hub. I can't use the matching rear wheel because the Ottrott doesn't have the clearance at the chainstays. The much narrower 65 fits great. I have the better braking for at least the front wheel where its needed. There is a definite difference in how the brake tracks perform, new vs older.

Man, that thing still looks great!! I'd likely put a ti stem on it to match the seatpost and frame, but given the different labels on the wheels, you are not as driven to match as some folks here, myself included. Is that a Firefly post?
