Thumbs up The Paceline forum is now a secure site

A little while back there were some changes related to accessing unsecured websites and The Paceline was being blocked from some locations. I believe I have correctly upgraded this to a secure site and this should no longer be a problem.

However, I won't be surprised if I broke something during the process of making these changes. So please report in this thread any problems that you run into. I'd also like to hear from those that were previously being blocked to know if this has resolved your issues.

One problem I'm seeing is that when I type in "forums.thepaceline.net", it tries to go to "https://forums.thepaceline.net/forums" which is an invalid location. All you have to do is remove "forums" off the end and it will work. Not sure why this is happening.

It still says not secure for me. Could that just be a Chrome thing?

Sorry guys, I've had to back out some of my changes for now as there is something wrong with the way things are being redirected. So for now, I've set this back to the non-secure site.

Well, I've set this back to secure again. Hopefully, I'll be able to work out these issues soon enough.

Sorry for the problems...but I was expecting this.

https://forums.thepaceline.net works fine for me. I think the issue is how is set up at the search engine because if you put paceline forums is still showing forums.thepaceline.net.

I think this link could help... Im not a web guy and my experience with web parking and re directions is almost null....

The latest status is that we are sort of a secure site at the moment. You should be able to access this from both http and https for now. I'm trying to sort through the site redirection settings to make it so this can only be accessed via https.

Thanks for the hard work Keith. I don't think most people realize how much time Keith puts in to keep us up and running, but I am always amazed at his contributions that we see behind the moderator's curtain. Bananas Keith!
