I've never had my helmet checked.. have you?

I don't know who the target market is for this helmet, but I feel like racers aren't it. Nor even Fred club riders... I mean, are you gonna drop $5000-$10000 on a Fred bike and then buy a $15 fake expensive helmet? And the purely recreational soloist doesn't give a ···· what his helmet looks like... so he's not gonna buy it either.

I don't understand its existence

I dont see what the Problem with this Helmet is.

Most of the Condoms sold in the US are made in China, so whats the big deal with this helmet? We trust the Chinese to make Helmets for our Little heads...but its not okay if they make them for our Big Heads? Come on. I see a massive Hypocrisy here.

That first cartoon looks like you're supposed to rinse your food in the kitchen sink with the helmet as a strainer.

What's wrong with the helmet? Does it just feel and look flimsy?

For me it still comes back to the company that is going to stand behind the product. Since condoms are only XX% affective, you probably have no leg to stand on in a court battle. But importing a helmet without a Snell or whatever sticker on it, and no presence in the cycling community, I would have issues.
Same as Chine made wheels, bars, forks,.....

I'll check a helmet if it looks out of place but that's not the point. If you crash and try and claim on the insurance it could be denied.

We've got guys here with a room full of bikes that bitch about paying $3 more for an 11 speed Missing Link than they paid for a 10 speed.

I noticed cheap (like $18-$20) Bell helmets at Target. Box said made is US (which I assume means assembled).
Now I see the same helmets on sale at Aldi this week for $12.99.

https://www.aldi.us/en/weekly-specia...bike-helmet-1/

I wonder how they compare to my Bell Sweep.

Yes I did..and while showing it to the guys in the shop, discovered a crack and a dent..Tried to contact the Chinese gent that sold it..and the item is gone, so I had to 'back door' contact him to tell him his product was junk..we'll see what happens but item removed, so I can't even give feedback.

I think it's like I threw $15 out the window..but I'll smack it to see what's inside..it's 'really' light.

As for a helmet, racing, checking a 'sticker'..how often has some USA cycling dude walked around checking helmet stickers?? I've never seen it. But when ya buy a $15 helmet, you get a cheap POS..what a surprise, even with the giro sticker.

• On the scale, the fake is 45g lighter than the real Evade.
• The fake lacks a roll cage, an internal skeleton (the larger dots in the cross section of the real Evade, above) that holds the helmet intact in a crash.
• In a crash, the fake would have offered almost no protection

It is for the same guy that buys one of these and slaps on Pinarello stickers.
