Recommend me a hub for all-road bike.
Starting the dreaming over an all road / gravel grinder bike.
Since, I have always been a roadie, the disc hub aspect is puzzling. Sounds like center lock is the way to go and through axle is the way to go. But, what about axle spacing? 135 vs 142? I'm a bigger guy (6'4 and 200-210 lbs), so I don't want wimpy wheels. So wider flanges seem like a good plan, maybe go to boost spacing? So, my dream hub would be quiet, wide flange spacing, durable, with center lock compatibility. And, what the heck, since I want a unicorn, let's make it pink. Seriously, extra credit if it can be obtained in pink anodized. What do the illuminati say? Thanks in advance. Jon |

Pink? Disc?
Industry Nine or White Industries would be my choice. CK's pink color is washed out if you can even get it in the hub configuration you need. |

Seem like no bs bullet proof hubs |

Unless you're going to be running 3" wide tires, Boost spacing is overkill.
Is your frame spaced 135mm or 142mm? Q/R or thru-axle? 10- or 11-speed? Shimano freehub or XD? Pink? That narrows the list quite a bit (CK, WI, I9, Onyx).

Industry Nine Road/CX Disc Hubs. 12x100 front, 12x142 rear. Centerline rotors for weight savings.
Every other answer is wrong. |

The standard for road thru axle is either 15 or 12mm front (check fork manufacturers) and 142X12 rear.
I wouldn't purchase a frame that deviated from that. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk |

I happen to have a set of pink ck classic 135/100 quick release 6-bolt hubs, 32/32, previously used (not by me) in the pale pink that I was considering unloading... If you have any interest hit me up via PM and we'll talk..

The frame can be spaced to whatever spec I choose.
Planning eTap hydro, but Ice Tech rotors. Any thoughts on Project 321 hubs? Pros are that they are quiet. Cons are that only 6 bolt for moment, and that they are a relatively new company. Jon |

Their standard design used Industry 9 internals so the hubs were great. I don't have any feedback on the new internals, but they look interesting. They are always a pleasure to talk to on the phone so I'd have no issues trying them out myself.

The best hubs are DT240, although they don't come in pink.
I'd probably go for 6 bolt rotors as they work out a bit lighter. |

I'll put another vote in for DT Swiss 240s. Bombproof and pretty light, but only come in black and white. Stick with the black. They are convertable from 135mm to 142mm, so no problem there. If you want thru alxe, go 142mm, no boost for a road bike. BTW, 135mm and 142mm hubs have the same flange spacing, but the the 142mm gets you a thru axle, which at your weight you may notice. 135mm and 100mm QR would work just fine though.
