Schwalbe One clincher - thoughts?

Interested to know what folks think of these tires, for everyday use. How do they compare to Conti GP Sii, Vittoria Open Pave/Corsa?

they're "OK" in my opinion. the G+ Corsas are quite a step better, also IMO.

veloflex tires are still the class leaders for clinchers in the ride department category, but a bit delicate, especially for the mean streets of NYC, but the G+ corsas are a close second and quite a bit more cut resistant. the schwalbe one's that i have are a bit more "dead" feeling.

that's all subjective of course, and based on my experience - but i ride some of the same roads you do, and i'm a relatively lightweight rider, so take all that for what it's worth.

I use the Schwalbe Durano's and One's as training tires. They're not super light but a bit more durable than Veloflex Corsa's or the Vittoria's. Corsa's are still my all time favorite tire from a handling and low Crr perspective but durability isn't their strongest suit.

Exactly this. I'm a heavier rider and have never ridden Veloflex but I used Schwalbe Ones for 6 months or so (both w/ tubes and tubeless) and they were decent but got pretty cut up on good clean summer roads. Switched to a set of Corsa G+ when they went on sale, and they are the superior tire IMO. No cuts or punctures so far, super durable, look and feel great.

The Pro One tubeless have become my go to setup in 25mm for the road, love them. Waiting for Corsa G tubeless to become available in 25 to try.

I used Pro One in a tubeless setup. They were pretty good but not noticeably better than GP4KS2 with latex tubes. I switched back because of the puncture resistance.

The Schwalbe One are great. Excellent mix of durability and grip. As an added bonus they are easy to mount from day one.

I raced 25mm pro ones set up tubeless in crits this year. They are fast, and grab in the corners better than conti 4000s...but...they wore incredibly fast. Would not be my first choice for an everyday tire

I always have the mindset that what goes on at the contact patch is the most important part of a bike. I'll pay for that assurance.

I have had people try them out. They all went back to GP4000 tires. Some quicker than others.
