I, too, am not an expert. Only thing to add is the Prescia being a 1" only fork fits my recollections, and when I googled Prescia forks, I'm not seeing anything other than 1".

Very pretty bike!

I remember I got a Colnago Dream Plus, 48 or 49 cm, on closeout from Competitive Cyclist. Built it up, then it got destroyed in a car v bike. Insurance made me whole. But yeah, I had a few rides on that, and it was a very nice bike. Smooth ride, despite the aluminum frame and 23mm tires. I forget what paint scheme code, but it was black and yellow. Not one of the prettiest paint schemes to me, but it was very nice. One of my ride buddies had a CT1 in a blue and silver scheme, which I also thought looked great. And in 2003, the guy on the yellow Colnago MXL in the finishing group in the men’s cat 4 race dusted everyone else -I was bringing up the back end of the group

I haven’t seen as many Colnagos on the roads since I left Ann Arbor, but this thread brought up a few good memories.

definitely too small for we long-of-inseam...looks like not even a 56, maybe a 54,

EPS/EP. Have no direct experience of either, so good to know that you find the EP fantastic. Not being Erik Zabel, I'm sure I couldn't tell the difference between the two Just that the EPS seems to elicit the kind of reviews formerly reserved for the C40. For instance, Brian Palmer at WMP while noting the giddyup to EPS, also calls it the most comfortable bike he has ever ridden. (Yes, we know that comfort isn't all about $$$$ frames but things like tires and tire pressure. But still.)
Seems like a pipe dream in any case.
I'd mention the EPS I have for sale in the classifieds, but if the C40 is yours, mine will be a bit big.

Your EPS is my size--just not my budget! If I were riding more I would be tempted...

I miss having a Colnago around.

Thanks, very nice EPS. But yes, too big. C40 is a 51 (trad). GLWS!

.
.
The Tecnos was a Freuler 61 that was sold to me as a smaller frame--since it measures out at 57+ c-t-c on the seat tube. I loved the ride, and I preferred it to the old Master Piu (also too big--it was a 60 in Colnago c-t-t sizing)--but it was kind of apples to oranges, since the Tecnos had a carbon fork. I ended up selling both on, since I finally figured out that I was too stretched out.

I have not ridden a new/recent generation Master.

You will hear rumors of a weight limit on Technos frames, but AFAIK (after some serious poking around)--this was the US distributor, not Colnago that claimed a weight limit. I was probably averaging around 175# on the Tecnos--and I loved the ride.

I also really liked the ride of the CT-1--B Stay rear and carbon fork--very plush.

Sweet spot for me (I like a more traditional sizing)--is a 54s /58 or 59 in Colnago (old sizing)--but I have not tried out any of the new or new-ish carbon frames to know where I would end up. (I'm a little under 6' as I shrink with age...)

Someone mentioned the size/geo change on the carbon frames--looks like Wally has that covered as well:
