Thumbs down Cuero Gloves - update on availability

As you may or may not know, I have had serious quality issues with the production gloves my manufacturer provided me. After much back and forth in an attempt to get these issues resolved, I have terminated my relationship with them permanently. So any hope for a replacement order and sellable quantity of gloves any time soon is likely out the window.

It kills me to say that, but it must be done. So it is done.

I have identified at least 3 potential new manufacturers and have been working with them to select leather and produce some samples. So things are moving forward slowly. But we are moving.

One day I will have a bunch of really nice gloves to sell everyone. When that day will be, I don't know. But it will happen.

Thanks for your continued interest in this seriously ridiculous saga.

Thanks for the update.

While I am sure some are itching to have the gloves soon, I think it is worth much more that you are not willing to compromise on quality.

Good luck Jason,

I love my XXL Cueros and will be a customer when the new source is chosen. Thanks for being a perfectionist and only passing on those gloves that passed your QA.

Disappointing....my Medium Cueros have quickly become my favorite. Great all around gloves...and I generally go without gloves!

I appreciate the nice feedback from you guys who have been wearing them. It's obvious to me that these gloves will be high quality and a good seller. Everyone seems to like them a lot, which makes me very happy.

It's HIGHLY FRUSTRATING to not be able to get this resolved in a timely manner.

Jason,

Any updates on you search for a new supplier ?

I absolutely love my XXL Cueros and could easily see unloading all my other gloves if I had one more pair. The gloves are comfortable in the heat and warmer in the cold, much like a good wool jersey. Gotta love natural materials.

Definitely a great pair of gloves. I've got about 500 miles or so on them, and really dig 'em.

Yes. I just made payment for round 3 from a new supplier. I have asked for a full size run so I can check them. The construction is very good but there are minor tweaks still to make. Good progress but not there yet.

I also received sample 1 from a second vendor. They are excellent and a notch above the current model. They are also much more expensive. It's fine though. I am moving forward with them as well.

No idea on timing yet but it will happen.

Any suggestions on cleaning the gloves? Have you experimented with using the Leather Milk on them?

Just curious, don't really need to clean them yet, figured I would be prepared when the time comes.

No suggestions yet, I've only got ~300 miles or so on mine. I told Jason I was going to use the Mother's leather cleaner and conditioner I already have for my car and report back.
