Love it! Was it built around the Ritchey fork? They can clear a 30, I think.

My Firefly #275 I believe was built for Joachim, and I think went through the hands (cleats?) of StephenCL, Uncle Jam's Army, and Akelman before it ended up with me. I thought this was my lifetime pure road bike (it is a truly fabulous riding bike) but I recently placed a deposit with Mr. Kirk and work within a one in, one out system, so this will be on the block again at some point!

So I can't complain with what I've got, and definitely don't need another bike, but the one here that's moved around a bit, I've always had an eye for and wouldn't let it go again is what was Herb's then Madsciencenow's Pronto in the "Koop" scheme. Probably because a red Pronto was what made me want a ti bike (skipped that for another No22), and knowing Koop riding his before his passing, I've always wanted this one but timing didn't work when it hit the block.
If the current owner is moving it, give me a shout |

I often think about the Standert Triebwerk frame I sold to a guy in Philly. Not a Paceliner. At the time, I was recovering from a shoulder injury and I couldn't get a frame that racy to fit me. Now that I'm healed, it would fit perfectly, and I regret not having it here!!
Anyway, I hope he's riding the crap out of it! |

I'm slowly building up a Look 585 Ultra that went from mistermo -> tv_vt -> me.

This was a graduation present in 2020, before I joined the forum, that was purchased for me by my dad on craigslist. A good deal on a Moots and the realization that it was just a tad whippier than I preferred for long mountain descents at 170lbs meant it left the stable and returned to the forum, where it had previously been sold in 2015 (see above thread). Not sure how much it bounced around the forum before it landed in my hands, but I'm happy I was able to ship it out to someone from here. Every time I see a picture of it, I have a twinge of regret, but I'm very happy with the Gilmour and Moots that have taken its place! |

I saved the pics somewhere before he pulled them from the ad but I can’t find them now.
I tried to track it down a few years ago to no success. Just an absolutely gorgeous bike. Price seemed insurmountable to me at the time, but funny what a few years does to your perspective on value lol. Definitely should have bought it. |

100% would have grabbed that if it was available - though I do like that mine has a 1" steerer

Once or twice I’ve fleetingly thought about selling it, as I do with most of my bicycles, but the local market for a frame like it is minimal, and return freight to the USA now runs USD400-500 which is half its value… If it’s any consolation it’s fairly large, even by Clean39T standards, at 61x60cm both centre-to-centre… Last edited by osbk67; 06-30-2023 at 03:04 PM. I know this one has been passed around here a few times! Saratoga Race Ti aka Pronto that now resides way up north with Herb.
