More a gift than a purchase, but a Silca Impero Ultimate frame pump. Will head out with the Lobster on rides. Very trick piece of equipment.

Now to find a proper Binda toe strap to secure it to the top tube.

Its a trick of the light, just the standard King stainless cages. Ain't nothing fancy, but Ron makes a great cage.

Your most recent cycling related purchase

No photo yet...pair of Origin8 cheater brake levers for my son's cross bike. The cheap ones that came with it are reducing the effectiveness of the brakes. Not cool!

We'll see.

Can be had at Competitive Cyclist @ $899.00 (that's about $1,500.00 off). If you buy them today, you get an additional 10% off. That's $809.00 plus a little shipping.

I'm not affiliated with CC in any way.

UPDATE--

Wheels arrived today. No damage to the shipping box nor to the wheels. They appear to be true and round right out of the box. Finish is quite nice. I used a 60mm valve stem tube when mounting the Vittoria Rubino 23mm tires and there was barely enough room to get the pump head on the exposed portion. I then decided to use a stem nut after inflation and there was room for that, too. The good news is: This tire/rim combo are easy to mount up. I _did_ have to use one tire lever to get the last couple of inches of bead over the lip, but did not pinch the tube at all and it was in no way a struggle.

Not sure when I'm gonna get outside on these, but they sure do look and feel nice.

More info when I get some miles on 'em.

Giro terraduro shoes. I hope I like them... I've been dealing with mtb shoes that are too small for too long. Not too small, just a bad fit. I've got room, but they feel odd.

Anyway, I was wanting a somewhat walkable shoe for commuting and knocking around on the single track. I also wanted something that would look out of place on a road bike for casual and gravel rides. A privateer/republic combo makes sense but my knobbie tire milage doesn't support two pairs. Hopefully, the terraduro bridges the gap.

Dura Ace 7403 hubs NOS - Rather heavy compared to later DA stuff, but I'm loving them already. Feel/look super-solid.

Dura Ace 7400 crankset, ebay "Mint" - These didn't turn out so hot in person, condition-wise. Will ship these back and continue the search...

Big week for me. Trek was having a sale on the Cycleops Silencer so I bought one. ...only to find out that it comes with a 10sp freehub body.

So I bought an 11sp FH body so I could actually *use* the darn thing!

...and its the last day of the year to use my S-Tec 50% off purchase, so I bought an XT8k drivetrain for my carbon bike, and a pair of 9k shifters for the Boone.

Spent too much $, but I'm thinking I'm back out of the bike business before too long...
