Bay Area riders

I'm making a last minute trip down to the Bay Area tomorrow. I plan on riding Tues /Wed/Thur. There are some rides I'm interested but would love to meet up with anybody who has time to ride those days. I think I'll be staying in the South Bay but I'll have a car and meet up anywhere.
Let me know if you're interested. I'm not a hammerhead.

Just keep in mind that Bay Area traffic during the week can be murderous and really limit you to a certain locale. It may only be ~60 miles from the South Bay to the Berkeley Hills but it might as well be on the moon if it's the wrong time of the day.
Google maps with the traffic overlay or the Waze app can give you a pretty good idea (in realtime) of how rough it is.

probably will not be able to join you, but i'll see if i can get morning of thursday off.

what rides were you thinking? distance? climbing?
if you're in the south bay, climbing mt. hamilton is always fun and you're rewarded with some great views (@36mi round trip, all up and down).
there's also the classic woodside to the coast up several different options.

btw, i am used to getting regularly dropped by super fit anesthesiologists.

I grew up in the San Jose area so know how traffic can be a killer. The only decent hotel I could find was over the hill in Santa Cruz. Man everything was booked up in the Valley, I avoided the City.
I'm open to rides, done a lot in the Palo Alto, Wood side to San Jose area and to the coast and back over the years, all great rides.
Dr Lux where are you ?
Gotta get packed up

Given the number of days, why not just do the old classic Old La Honda, King Mountain and toss in Mt. Hamilton (at least the first two climbs)

There used to be a place in Los Gatos called Mountain Charlie's named after him. I grew up in Saratoga and frequented the establishment in the 70's on and off when I was a dirt bag rock climber. It was funky and fun.
I googled it and it's still there but it's just called Charlie's now. No idea when that changed and if it's more gentrified.

I was thinking of riding with the Tues and Thur if I don't connect with other Paceliners. Any feedback ? Seem like an organized group.

Too bad but I wouldn't be able to either. I'm riding with an old friend I've known since grade school so it's all good. He owns his own company so he can play hooky. Gonna visit a couple of other old friends so looking forward to getting down there.

I grew up in Saratoga in the same timeframe as you, and hung out in Los Gatos a lot. It's a whole new place, and I would wager that at Charlie's there are no more Wednesday night belly bumping contests.

Mountain Charlie's is a road that goes over SC Mtns near 17.

If you had a route through Los Gatos or Saratoga I would be glad to meet and say hello. I am not doing much climbing lately, so you could continue on your route.
