Last weekend, I pulled on my Mapei jersey. Feelin' all crickety, I walk downstairs to go for a ride with my kids. As I walk into the living room, my wife says, "God, that is one ugly shirt."

My feelings were, to say the least, hurt.

Hey Grillo - we still like your shirt.

Twin Six has some nice subtle designs and the jerseys are made well. As you mention House Industries has some cool designs, so you could also check out Panache Cycle Wear and Ten Speed Hero too.

Not a fan of graphics or odd patterns in my jerseys either. So much so that I've been dodging buying my cycling club's jersey simply because I don't like crap written all over my jersey.

I buy mostly Castelli as they tend to have simpler designs and as much as I hate the pretentious and hipster d-bag aura of Rapha (yes, call me judgmental ) I do like their jerseys but I only buy from them if they're on sale/coupon.

voler

We use Voler for our race/club kits and very pleased with the fit, compression, comfort and quality of the jerseys and bibs.

The "Black Label" is their offer of the same stuff, sans logos and priced competitively to other name brands.

I would say sizing/fit is comparable to Rapha club and pro fit versus super skinny cut of Italian brands.

Surprisingly, I've always liked the Mapei designs, though some of them are a little more flash than others. Without the other sponsor's logos, it's a very interesting design that incorporates their packaging style. (see below)

While I'm certainly a fan of beer and rock and roll, the Primal Wear jerseys can be awfully gauche. It has, on occasion, been tough to resist buying a complete set of Rush album-cover jerseys, I'll admit.

Search and State makes a great product, for sure. I do wish they'd do something to make their product a little more interesting.

+1 for Vintage Velos wool. Some of my absolute favorites until I had my first infestation of moths a couple of years ago.

Ooooo, the Danny Shane looks great! I'll be considering some of those.

Otherwise, it looks like I'm sticking with Twin Six, Rapha, some classic wool, and a few club jerseys. Oh...and my new Nerds jersey. I have been toying with a new Old Fart Cycling jersey, but haven't completed a design I'm happy with, yet.

There are few jerseys that I like. Already mentioned - Twin Six, Rapha and Cafe du Cycliste (which a friend pointed out to me a few weeks ago). You have to pony up some dinero for Rapha and Cafe du Cycliste. A few others that I like, but you have to watch their site for when jerseys are available are: Cadence Collection, Team Dream Bicycling Team (go figure), and State Bicycles.

I also like the look of some of the Road Holland stuff (Forum Sponsor), though I don't have any first hand experience with them.

Haha, I can't take any credit. I just bought it from NateM here on the forum. The kidback cranks are not free - the lower stoker cranks have two chainrings and two timing chains, so the "kid" cranks turn in time with the captain cranks and (lower) stoker cranks. That said, the kid cranks are 130mm in length, as compared to 175mm for the captain cranks, so she actually does ok spinning along with me. At least for 60-90 minutes.

I have ordered some polishing paste and vintage Cannondale decals, so it's going to look even fancier in a few weeks.
