Liege-Bastogne-Liege Sportiv
My buddy did the LBL sportive over the weekend.
His stats are epic: 158.0mi Distance 12,979ft Elevation 9:02:57 Moving Time 6,863 Calories It never occurred to me how much climbing there is in that race. We all know about the famous Cotes and Muurs and La Redute but add it all up and, damn, that's a couple of high mountain passes!

As I recall most the climbing is towards the end. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah they say LBL requires Marmotte-level training which is a comment I take seriously having ridden La Marmotte twice. Lionel says there's a sportive in summer run by a different organizer held one town over but essentially the same course called Tilff-Bastogne-Tilff. LBL/TBT might be in the cards next year along with Flanders.
